Simon Says Stamp Challenges...

Ciao a tutti! Siamo arrivati anche alla fine di Novembre...io non so voi, ma i giorni qui volano via che è un piacere...ed il Natale è sempre più vicino!
Quando ho visto che il tema della nuova sfida del Lunedì di Simon Says Stamp era ''O' Christmas tree' non stavo più nella pelle dalla voglia di usare i miei ultimi acquisti...

Hello everyone! Here we are at the end of November...I don't know if you feel the same, but here the days are flying away at maximum speed...and Christmas is getting closer!
When I saw that the new Monday Challenge's theme at Simon Says Stamp was ''O' Christmas tree' I couldn't wait to use my brand new goodies...

Quindi ho deciso di fare una Tag, che può essere usata come chiudipacco o biglietto di auguri per le vacanze imminenti...
Ho usato i Layering Stencil di Tim Holtz sia con la vernice Crackle Glaze della DecoArt Media che con la Decorating Paste sempre della DecoArt, con aggiunta di acrilico color oro.
Dove si sono formate le crepe, ho steso il Distress Crayon Black Soot di Tim Holtz e poi ho rafforzato i colori con i Distress Ink pads Fired Brick (si lo so...ci vorrebbe proprio il colore Candied Apple...ma non riesco a trovarlo!)  Peeled Paint e Black Soot.
L'albero e la scritta 'Peace' li ho ritagliati nel cartoncino e nella gomma crepla, per maggior spessore. Ho usato colla glitter sia sulla scritta che sulla stella in cima all'albero, poi ho aggiunto i rametti e la pigna ed una campanella dorata. Ed è tutto!

So I decided to go for a Tag, which can be used as a card for Christmas wishes or along with a gift...
I have used Tim Holtz Layering Stencils both with DecoArt Media Crackle Glaze and with DecoArt Decorating Paste, to which I added some gold acrylic paint. I enhanced the cracks with Tim Holtz Distress Crayon - Black Soot and then the colours of the Tag using Distress Ink pads Fired Brick (I know...Candied Apple would be perfect but I can't find it!) Peeled Paint and Black Soot.
I die cut the tree and the word 'Peace' both from cardstock and foamy mousse and used glitter glue on the word and on the little star a-top of the tree. Added 'juniper' springs and the pinecone and a little golden bell. That's it!

Dal momento che la sfida del Mercoledì sempre di Simon Says Stamp è 'Anything goes..' cioè va bene tutto, presento questo progetto anche per quella!

As I noticed that the Wednesday Challenge theme, over at Simon Says Stamp Blog is 'Anything goes' I just go for it with this Tag!

3 Challenges in one...A Very Steampunk Christmas!

Ciao a tutti!  Ebbene si...un progetto per 3 sfide...a questo mi sono ridotta!
Non nascondo che mi sono divertita molto ad incastrare i vari pezzi per questo lavoro...e poi, dai...un progetto di Natale Steampunk! Si può chiedere di più?

Hello everyone! That's right...one project for 3 different challenges...that's how I roll now!!! Lol!
I must say that I had so much fun to sort out the right bits and pieces for this one...come on...a Steampunk Christmas project! Is there anything better?

Ho iniziato incollando della carta da regalo con del gel medium, una mano di gesso bianco diluito e poi ho steso dell'Heavy Black Gesso di Finnabair/Prima art-basics. Ho usato uno stencil di Tim Holtz e della modeling paste, poi ho spruzzato Ayeeda Pearl Scarlet e Ayeeda Pearl Black di 13arts e spruzzato gocce di acqua...

I glued down some wrap paper using gel medium, then thinned down white gesso and afterwards Finnabair/Prima art basics Heavy Black Gesso. Used modeling paste with a Tim Holtz stencil and sprayed with Ayeeda Pearl Scarlet and Pearl Black by 13arts, then just flicked few drops of water...

Ho 'invecchiato ed arrugginito' gli ingranaggi ed anche l'ultimo 'fiore' della Stella di Natale...poi ho incollato ingranaggi e rondelle come se non ci fosse più un domani!
Infine ho scritto la parola 'SHINE' con il Tombow Dual Brush Nero e l'ho embossata con polvere color oro.

I  'aged & rusted' the gears and also the last 'flower' of the Poinsettia...then I just jolted down gears, cogs and washers as there was no tomorrow left!
I wrote the word 'SHINE' using Black Tombow Dual Brush pen and embossed it using gold powder.

A merry Tombow Christmas...

Ciao a tutti! Del mio amore per i Tombow Dual Brush pens ormai ne sanno anche i sassi, quindi non mi dilungherò oltre...dico solo che cerco di usarli in tutte le varie sfide o progetti per il DT che mi capitano a tiro..MA ne ho davvero pochi, quindi...perchè non approfittare del contest organizzato da Koh-i-noor Italia che mette in palio TUTTI i 96 colori??? Questo sì che sarebbe un regalone di Natale...
Comunque, teniamo a bada i sogni ed andiamo avanti...finalmente, dopo un intero mese, quasi agli sgoccioli sono riuscita a preparare il mio progetto natalizio...

Ho cercato di utilizzare i pennarelli Tombow in quasi tutti i modi a me conosciuti...li ho usati per creare i cartoncini colorati da cui ricavare la stella di natale...

ovviamente li ho usati per colorare il soggetto principale...un tondo pettirosso...

Ho usato anche 2 colori per timbrare un fiocco di neve, che poi ho embossato a caldo con della polvere clear...

Ed infine per la scritta 'bicolor', un accenno di 'brush lettering'...a modo mio...Insomma...divertimento allo stato puro!

E' tutto...contrariamente al solito, poche parole...molte foto! Alla prossima!

12 Tags of 2016: November

Ciao a tutti!!! Eccomi finalmente tornata in pista con i lavori ed il mio povero blog, che è stato un po' abbandonato...
Quindi, quale migliore occasione se non quella di presentare la mia Tag di Novembre  per le 12 Tags del 2016 di Tim Holtz?

Hello everyone!!! Finally I'm back with my 'crafty things' and my poor little blog...I've been sort of M.I.A., lately, so it's good to be back to normal stuff...
Sooo, I couldn't think of a better occasion than this  to post my November Tag, for the 12 Tags of 2016 by Tim Holtz!

Ho aspettato un po'...ehm...tanto....perchè mi dovevano arrivare i miei nuovissimi 'Remnant Rubs - Elements' di Tim Holtz, quindi stamattina mi sono dedicata alla mia tag...a differenza di quella di Tim, che è incentrata sul Thanksgiving, ho deciso per un'approccio legato all'immaginazione, ai viaggi che si possono fare con la fantasia, alle avventure che viviamo quando ci immergiamo in un libro. Per questo ho usato i 'Cling Stamps - Schoolhouse' di Stampers Anonymous, cioè i libri ed il mappamondo.

I waited a bit...ehm...much...because I had to receive my brand new 'Remnant Rubs - Elements' by Tim Holtz, so this morning I dedicated myself to my tag...instead of focusing about Thanksgiving, like the original Tim's Tag, I decided to go for something related to Imagination, traveling with our fantasy,  the adventures that we live when we are reading a book. That's why  I have used Stampers Anonymous ' Cling Stamps - Schoolhouse', the books and the globe.

Ho seguito il tutorial di Tim e ho trovato un nuovo amore...il 'Mottled effect', cioè quell'effetto 'macchiato' che si vede...troppo divertente da realizzare! Poi ho cercato di dare dimensionalità sia al dorso dei libri che ai continenti del mappamondo...non so se si vede bene dalle foto, ma vi assicuro che sono in rilievo!
Oltre alle Thinlits 'Alphanumerical' ho usato anche la parola 'Adventure' del set 'Journey', e poi l'ho semplicemente ripassata con una penna gel argento.

I have followed Tim's tutorial and found a new love... the 'Mottled effect'...so much fun to achieve! Then I have tried to give dimension both to the books and the continents of the globe...don't know if you can see that in the pictures, though, but I promise they are dimensional!
I have used the 'Alphanumerical' Thinlits to cut out the word 'IMAGINE', and also used the word 'ADVENTURE' from the set 'Journey'. Then I just covered it with a silver gel pen.

Ho aggiunto qualche charms in metallo ed un embellishment della linea Idea-ology di Tim, che ho sporcato con il Distress Crayon Picket Fence per far risaltare la parola 'FIND'.

I added few charms and a Tim Holtz Idea-ology metal embellishment, on which I have smudged some Picket Fence Distress Crayon, just to enhance the word 'FIND'.

Ed ora...spazio all'immaginazione...
And now...just Imagine...

Shine Bright like a Diamond...

Ciao a tutti!!! Finalmente eccomi di ritorno con una bella sfida del LUNEDI di SIMON SAYS STAMP...tra impegni ed influenza ho saltato qualche settimana, ma ora sono di nuovo in carreggiata...
Il tema di questa settimana è...rullo di tamburi...'SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND' e niente, quando l'ho visto, nella mia testa l'ho letto cantando, sulle note della famosa canzone di Rihanna...ditemi che non sono l'unica...no eh...pazienza, sono senza speranza...Lol!!!
Comunque, dal momento che per questa sfida i prodotti 'di punta' erano quelli del nostro amato TIM HOLTZ, mi ci sono buttata a capofitto...e si...ne è uscito un lavoro particolarmente 'luccicoso'!!!

Hello everyone!!! Finally I'm back with another great MONDAY CHALLENGE over at SIMON SAYS STAMP Blog...I have missed few weekly challenges due to commitments and flu...lots of flu...but now I am back on track...
This week's challenge is...drum roll please...'SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND', and when I saw this, I couldn't help to sing Rihanna's refrain...please tell me it's not just me...no eh... ok I'm hopeless...Lol!!!
Anyhow, as the designer's products showcased are the ones of our beloved TIM HOLTZ, no less, I just jumped headfirst in this project and, yes...this tag is particularly 'Shiny'!!!

Ho steso  HEAVY BLACK GESSO di Prima sulla tag ed una volta asciutto ho usato il LAYERED STENCIL - HARLEQUIN di Tim Holtz ed un tampone per embossing e ho ricoperto la zona con della polvere per embossing argento. Poi sempre con lo stesso stencil ho steso della MODELING PASTE bianca, in alto ed in basso, sopra alla parte embossata, e qui, mentre la pasta era ancora umida, ho usato della polvere da embossing oro. Una volta asciugato con l'embosser, ho aggiunto della colla glitter (tipo Stickles) bianca, oro ed argento ed ho fatto asciugare bene.
Con dei tamponi oro ed argento ho fatto qualche timbrata qua e là prima con un timbro 'handwriting' e poi con un fiocco di neve, infine con un tampone bianco ho ripassato i bordi della tag.
Come punto focale ho usato un cartoncino glitterato argento e la fustella LAYERED SNOWFLAKE di Tim Holtz, che contiene anche un embossing folder per creare la texture sul fiocco di neve. Al centro ho incollato un piccolo fiocco bianco glitterato che avevo in casa da tempo ed ho incollato il tutto con del nastro biadesivo spessorato.
Poi ho ritagliato la scritta 'CELEBRATE' con le Thinlits 'HANDWRITTEN CELEBRATE' di Tim Holtz, l'ho embossata con la polvere oro e l'ho incollata al fiocco di neve.
Per aggiungere altro 'sberluccichìo' (non mi sono fatta mancare niente!) ho incollato alcuni strass...e la Tag è pronta e scintillante!  Sotto potete vedere i particolari...

I sealed the tag with HEAVY BLACK GESSO by Prima, and once dried I have used  the LAYERED STENCIL - HARLEQUIN by Tim Holtz with embossing ink and sprinkled  with silver embossing powder. With the same stencil added some WHITE MODELING PASTE, on the top and the bottom of the tag...on the bottom part I added gold embossing powder and used my heat tool to set it.
Then I added few touches with white, gold and silver glitter glue (like Stickles).
Using gold and silver ink pads I added also few stamps here and there, using first an 'handwriting' stamp and then a snowflake one; once dried I outlined the tag with a white ink pad.
As a focal point I have used a silver glittered cardstock and the LAYERED SNOWFLAKE  die by Tim Holtz, which contains also an embossing folder to add texture to the die-cut. On top of that I glued a small white glittery snowflake I had in my stash for ages, and then adhered to the tag using foam tape.
I have also die cut the word 'CELEBRATE' using 'HANDWRITTEN CELEBRATE' Thinlits by Tim Holtz, embossed it with gold embossing powder and glued it to the focal point.
In order to add a bit more of 'shine' (just to top it all!) I glued down few blings...and the Tag is ready and Shiny! You can see the details here below...

A sinistra ho usato il flash per far vedere meglio lo scintillìo...
On the left one I turned on the flash to catch the shine a bit better...

Ed anche con questa sfida siamo a posto...alla prossima!!!
