Let's Stich it up !!!

Ciao a tutti! Nuova settimana e nuova sfida del lunedì da Simon Says Stamp! Il nuovo tema è 'IT'S A STICH UP!'...quindi...giù di ago e filo!!! Lol!

Hello everyone! Brand new week calls for a brand new Monday Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp blog! The new theme is 'IT'S A STICH UP!' so...let's sew something up!!!Lol!

Dunque io non sono certo un'esperta di ago e filo, men che meno nell'uso della mia povera macchina da cucire...
Quindi ho preso della tela da ricamo di recupero ed ho cucito a mano una tag, utilizzando filati e punti diversi. Per dare più corpo alla tag ho inserito in mezzo del cartone. Poi con la Crop-a-dile ho inserito l'occhiello.

To tell you the truth,  I am not a great expert with thread and needle or with my sewing machine...so I handstiched a tag using some old embroidery canvas and to make it sturdier, I added a piece of cardboard. Then attached an eyelet using the Crop-a-dile.

Ho stampato delle immagini con lo Staz-on Jet Black e Timber Brown su carta telata e le ho invecchiate usando i Distress Antique Linen e Tea Dye. Sull'immagine del manichino ha aggiunto delle cuciture con filo nero.
Ho ritagliato un pezzo di carta patterned con un soggetto relativo al cucito, invecchiato, ed aggiunto un paio di spilli come decorazione.
Ho incollato il tutto, decorato con un po' di pizzo, un cuoricino in feltro e dei bottoni. Ho aggiunto del testo, un nastro ed una spilla con un charm.

I stamped some images on canvas using Staz-on Jet black and Timber Brown, distressed with Antique Linen and Tea Dye Ink pads, then added few stiches quite randomly. 

I had some patterned paper in my stash with the proper subject, so I added a bit of that, distressed of course, and added also a couple of pins.
Glued everything together, adding some lace, a felt heart and buttons.
Finishing touches with text, ribbon and a pin with charm.

12 Tags of 2016 - August...LET'S SOAR!

Ciao di nuovo...con un po' di ritardo vi propongo la mia versione della Tag di AGOSTO, per la serie 12 TAGS OF 2016 di TIM HOLTZ...

Hello again...I definitely took my time for this, so, without further ado here's my take on the AUGUST Tag, for the 12 TAGS OF 2016 by TIM HOLTZ...

Come sempre questo Remix di tecniche è molto interessante e devo dire che il background della Tag mi ha dato molta soddisfazione. Ho usato solo Stormy Sky Ink e poi ho invecchiato il tutto usando Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain e Black Soot. ed il risultato mi piace molto!

As usual the Techniques Remix is way awesome and I had so much fun with this Tag background. I have used only Stormy Sky Ink and when it dried I distressed it with Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Black Soot...and I must say that I am very  pround of it!

Seguendo le istruzioni di Tim, ho composto il tutto, ma ho impiegato un po' di tempo per trovare le parole giuste...'Non lasciarti imprigionare dai tuoi limiti'...Queste parole sono un po' un mantra per me...
Ho deciso inoltre di non incollare tutte le tessere, per non coprire lo sfondo...

Following Tim's instructions I gathered all the pieces, but took me some time to think about the proper words to use...Finally I came up with the right ones...'Do not be confined by your limits'...I use these words like a personal mantra...
I also decided not to glue down all the tiles, because I didn't want to cover all the background...

A 'Fishy' Challenge...

Ciao a tutti...dopo un pò di latitanza, rieccomi su queste pagine...

Purtroppo questa è stata una settimana infelice per la nostra Italia, colpita dal sisma che ha causato tanta distruzione...ancora una volta ci rendiamo conto di quanto siamo impotenti di fronte alla violenza di madre Natura!

Un pensiero ed un abbraccio a tutti coloro che sono rimasti coinvolti in questa terribile tragedia...

Sembra un pò futile parlare di creatività e sfide settimanali, ma proprio per 'scappare' dalle notizie dei vari TG, mi sono buttata 'a pesce' in questa nuova SFIDA DEL LUNEDI' sul BLOG DI SIMON SAYS STAMP...'GO FISH'!

Hello everyone...after some time here I am once again writing on these pages...

Unfortunately this has been an awful week for our Italy, deeply wounded by the terrible earthquake which caused  death and distruction in the Centre of our Country...once again we realize how small and powerless we are against the violence of Mother Nature!

Thoughts and hugs to everyone involved in this terrible tragedy...

Sounds a little futile speaking now of crafting and such, but I wanted to escape the news on TV somehow, so I jumped on the latest MONDAY CHALLENGE over at SIMON SAYS STAMP BLOG...'GO FISH'!

                           

Ultimamente ho la fissa per le barchette di carta...che ci volete fare...capita! Lol!
Quindi stavolta ho deciso di farla 3D, usando della carta patterned che avevo da tempo. Ho ritagliato delle 'onde' da cartoncino blu, disegnato e ritagliato il pesce da un cartoncino di recupero e ricoperto con washi tape. Ho usato del washi anche per le varie bandierine.

Lately I'm quite obsessed with paper boats...what can I say...it happens! Lol!
This time I decided for a 3D boat, using patterned paper I had in my stash. Fussy-cut waves from blue cardstock, sketched and cut out the fish and then covered it with washi tape. Used washi also for the banners.

Volevo dare uno scopo a questa barchetta con il suo 'Big Fish', e quindi con l'aggiunta del filo metallico la posso usare come porta-foto...

I wanted to give a useful purpose to this tiny boat and it's 'Big Fish', so added some wire and now I can use it as a photo stand...
